Portman Estate can trace their origins back to the 13th Century and originally owned 270 acres of London stretching from Oxford Street to Regents Canal.A substantial London property owner they have a policy of continued updating of their huge property portfolio.

We recently were involved in the replacement and restoring of a large number of fireplaces around the magnificent Georgian Portman Square location. These properties were to have both commercial and residential use, so a mix of products was required.

For replacement surrounds they chose our magnificent William IV Corbel in Carrara Marble as well as our Cameron Surrounds and Regency Roundel Surrounds in Limestone.

With the volume of fireplaces required the large stocks held by Acantha enabled the project to be turned around very quickly and was project managed by our in-house team, who co-ordinated with the sub-contractors to ensure a smooth progression of the project. Our restoration team ensured the original surrounds were given a new breath of life.
